Sean Dyche makes Jack Harrison mistake as Everton XI confirmed v Man United

Sean Dyche has made a mistake in selecting Jack Harrison in the Everton starting XI as the Toffees prepare for a Premier League clash with Manchester United on Saturday (9 March).

The winger was extremely wasteful against West Ham United, registering zero per cent accuracy with his nine crosses into the middle for Beto to attack. [FotMob]

The Portuguese talisman will be praying for better service at Old Trafford, with the striker chosen over Dominic Calvert-Lewin once again by Dyche.

Everton took to X to announce their lineup, with Jordan Pickford expectedly starting in between the sticks.

Vitalii Mykolenko and Ben Godfrey keep their places at full-back, with the ever-present centre-back partnership of Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski in the middle.

Amadou Onana and James Garner also keep their places in the middle of the park, with the latter hoping to build upon his wonderful assist against West Ham.

Despite his display against the Hammers, Dyche keeps Harrison in the starting lineup, with Dwight McNeil occupying the opposite flank like he has done all season.

Abdoulaye Doucoure sits in behind Beto, who netted his fourth Everton goal against West Ham, making up an unchanged side to face Man United.

How can Everton get a result against Manchester United?

The battle between Harrison and Victor Lindelof could be an important one, with the Red Devils’ centre-back completely out of position due to Luke Shaw’s injury.

Toffees fans will need to hope that his crossing ability has changed drastically, with Man United’s left-back the obvious weak spot to penetrate through if they are to get any sort of result at Old Trafford.

Dyche clearly has belief in his players to turn things around at the club, with Everton just five points above Luton Town in the relegation zone. He will be hoping that his belief conjures up a better performance than the one against David Moyes’ men.
