Everton: Fans will not want to hear brand new 777 Partners takeover update
Dan Plumley has seen yet another red flag emerge at 777 Partners ahead of their proposed takeover of Everton.
It was recently shared that A-CAP has pulled all of their assets out of the American investment firm, after ploughing what is thought to be £1.57billion into the business.
The football finance expert admitted it adds another flag to the Premier League checks, something Everton fans will not want to hear.
“It’s another flag,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“We go back to some of the previous conversations about why this isn’t getting over the line, when are we going to be close and what is the hold-up.
“There is this intricate web of companies and connected companies with 777, I think it is over 60 at least and there is much more in the mix there that we perhaps don’t know about and if you’re going to do the proper and necessary checks that does take time.
“All the way along, there have been things like another story here where you have companies pulling their assets out or there are bills that haven’t been paid or deadlines that have been missed and naturally those things are going to court attention and put a little flag next to things that need to be checked.
“The more of those things there are, the more you need to dig into the detail and this would be another example, so when you tie this in with the timeframe, it sort of makes sense why this is not getting over the line. I know that is not the position that fans will not want to hear, but these things need checking out and whenever there are flags in that, it is going to take time.”

777 Partners takeover to collapse at Everton?
How many more of these flags are going to appear?
Having met with the Premier League in the past week to smooth things out and discuss concerns, it will be down to them to hopefully make a decision soon.
With a review panel also set to look over things once that happens, this is far from done.
