Everton v Bournemouth injury news: Doctor shares Idrissa Gueye update
Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye may not be back in time for the game against Bournemouth on 30 March, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that due to his groin setback, he is in a situation where he’s back for the next one or risks missing multiple games at a stretch.
The 34-year-old has not been in action for the Toffees since 24 February after playing in the 1-1 draw against Brighton and picking up the injury.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Gueye:
“Considering he just missed out, the best case would be that he’s able to return for the next match.
“The worst case would be that the issue lingers and he misses another match, if not multiple.
“Groin injuries can be annoying for players to deal with and the timeline really depends on how they’re responding behind the scenes.“
Gueye to start for Everton post injury setback?
Gueye has been a first-team regular under Sean Dyche this season for the Toffees.
Despite being 34, he’s made 18 Premier League appearances with him being named in the starting XI on 17 occasions.

It remains to be seen if James Garner and Amadou Onana continue to start should Gueye be available for the next game.
In other Everton news, there is pressure mounting as the Toffees’ financial future is in doubt amid a fresh takeover twist.
