Youssef Chermiti loan exit already on the cards at Everton as development update emerges

Youssef Chermiti was subject to loan interest across Europe in the January transfer window but was not allowed to leave due to injury issues at Everton, according to The Athletic.

However, the news outlet reported on 14 March that there is a belief he will need first-team minutes next season, if not at Goodison Park then elsewhere with a loan still on the cards.

It is said that due to the lack of a top striker at the club, the ambition for Chermiti is to develop him into one, and he is very much one for the future.

Will Youssef Chermiti leave Everton on loan this summer?

Having joined in the summer for a £15million fee [BBC Sport, 11 August], the 19-year-old has been given very little chance to impress at Goodison Park, having made just 11 Premier League appearances so far this season.

As well as that, he remains without a single start, sitting behind both Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the pecking order under Sean Dyche, and has averaged just eight minutes per game in the league. [Sofascore]

Given the struggles both Calvert-Lewin and Beto have faced, it seems strange that he has hardly been given a look-in at Everton, but given the gravity of their league position, Dyche prefers to rely on his more experienced campaigners.

Sean Dyche is facing new pressure at Everton

Given his age, and the fact he has been touted as one for the future, a loan spell away from Goodison Park next season could do him the world of good in terms of his development and hopefully becoming a regular feature at Everton.
