Ex-Everton scout makes Dele Alli transfer prediction at Goodison Park
Everton are certainly not going to pay the £40million fee to sign midfielder Dele Alli, according to former Toffees scout Bryan King.
The midfielder joined the Merseyside club from Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of 2022, with the deal potentially reaching £40million [Sky Sports, 1 February 2022].
He has made 13 appearances for Everton so far, with his deal at Goodison Park set to expire this summer, with the Toffees needing to pay Tottenham £10million if he makes another seven appearances.
Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “The thing was, he moved a couple of years ago, and the deal was going to be if he fulfilled every part of it, £40million.
“And of course, he hasn’t fulfilled it, and Everton certainly won’t pay. He had a bad time when he went on loan to Besiktas in Turkey. He didn’t make many appearances there.”
Will Dele Alli end his Everton nightmare in the summer transfer window?
Alli’s time at Goodison Park has unfortunately been disrupted by injuries, along with a loan move to Besiktas.
In Turkey, the midfielder made 15 appearances, scoring three goals, but it looked like another difficult period for the player.

Given his latest injury woes, it seems very unlikely that he will make another seven appearances for the Toffees between now and the end of the season.
