Everton: ‘Huge’ takeover news emerges from Goodison Park

Dan Plumley has reacted to the “huge” news that a decision on the proposed 777 Partners takeover of Everton could drop this week.

It was reported on 15 March that a Premier League decision was expected within days, as final questions were put forward in a recent meeting.

The football finance expert admitted that there is concern about what comes next if 777 is to be rejected, with the current situation of the club quite bleak.

“It is huge,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“We’ve seen the numbers, we’ve seen the fallout from the PSR breach and we are now into a second breach.

We know the issues have had with the stadium and the financing cost, we know Moshiri’s and we have seen this play out.

The sporting jeopardy is real as well, relegation is a distinct possibility, given the points deduction as well, so there are all these things that are in the mix here and financially, the situation is pretty bleak at that club and the takeover would be a huge moment, assuming it goes the way the club wants it too.

You’re looking towards a more positive future, hopefully, I know there are a lot of issues with 777 still that are unresolved, but the other side of the coin is, if it is not them, what happens next?

That’s probably more concern to fans at the minute, if that doesn’t go through then what happens next?”

777 Partners to complete Everton takeover?

Josh Wander has hit back at numerous reports against 777 Partners recently, with the pressure rising both on them and Everton.

With another points deduction on the cards from the Premier League, one of these situations needs to become much clearer, very quickly.

In other Everton news, Moshiri was left without £200million paperwork to sign as a PSR blunder has emerged.
