Everton takeover: 777 Partners timeline emerges amid source reveal
Everton and 777 Partners do not expect a decision on the potential takeover from the Premier League before a formal decision is made on the second PSR breach hearing.
Writing on their website (22 March), the Liverpool Echo report that both parties are still somewhat confident of a deal going through to confirm the takeover.
However a decision isn’t likely to be confirmed before the second PSR charge is decided, with a decision from the Premier League expected by April 8th.
“Everton insiders insist indications remain positive that a deal will ultimately go through and while sources close to 777 share that optimism, they do not expect any formal decision to be made before Everton’s second PSR charge is heard next week and that could push the takeover verdict beyond Easter and into April,” they wrote.
Everton takeover situation is ridiculous
It was initially expected that a decision on the takeover would be made before the end of the month at the very latest, but it’s set to drag out into an eighth month now.
There are still huge questions that haven’t been answered publicly and the club are £180m in debt to 777 Partners now after needing loans from the perspective new owners for the running costs of the club.
If the takeover now doesn’t happen the debt of the club will be a huge problem, but it will also mean that Farhad Moshiri will have to come back to the frontline when it’s clear he doesn’t want to be there and nobody at the club wants him there.

This whole situation should have been put to bed one way or another a long time ago so that the club can plan things and think ahead for the future.
Now the wait goes on, and with the team battling relegation at the same time the whole club is just clouded in insecurity and once again it’s the fans who are not thought about by those in control.
