Everton: 777 Partners have no choice but to go against what they said about Goodison funding

777 Partners have no choice but to continue funding Everton beyond the end of the month, despite previously suggesting that they would not be willing to, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported via its website [24 March] that, despite indicating that the Miami company would not be willing to continue investing without the Premier League’s approval, there may be no choice if they want to complete the purchase.

It is understood that 777 Partners have already invested £150million in loans since agreeing a deal to buy last September. However, the company have experienced financial issues in other areas of their football business.

Will 777 Partners complete the takeover of Everton Football Club?

Toffees fans will be desperate for a decision to be reached at Goodison Park, with so much uncertainty surrounding the potential takeover.

Considering the performances on the pitch, and Sean Dyche’s team facing a real possibility of relegation to the Championship, finally hearing a positive update would lift one cloud away from Merseyside.

A bit of stability could help relax things at Goodison Park, which in turn, would hopefully take some pressure off the players, who need to focus entirely on the football.

Just four points above Nottingham Forest in the relegation zone, and three above Luton Town, the Toffees will be hoping to claim as many points against the likes of Bournemouth, Burnley, Forest, Brentford, Luton and Sheffield United.

Everton’s run of matches would suggest that Premier League safety is just a few matches away, but Dyche’s attacking situation is the main worry, rather than the number of goals being leaked.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto combine for a total of nine goals in all competitions, whereas Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski have built a formidable defensive partnership, with only Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City conceding fewer goals.
