Everton v Bournemouth: Doctor shares Andre Gomes injury update
Everton midfielder Andre Gomes will not be ready for a start against Bournemouth on 30 March, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he’s dealing with an annoying calf problem and it even pulled up in training, further adding to his woes.
The 30-year-old has just started one Premier League game all season and that does not appear to change any time soon.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Gomes:
“Gomes continues to deal with a nagging calf injury and in this case, pulled up proactively in training after feeling something in it.
“Him not playing 90 minutes is very much a sign he’s not 100 per cent and he would need multiple games to get there.
“It’s a setback after being out for so long and the only way to get him back to full fitness is to play him off the bench and gradually increase the minutes he’s playing.
“I don’t see him ready for a start yet.“
Andre Gomes likely to leave Everton this summer
The 30-year-old has played only 197 Premier League minutes this season and has battled numerous injury issues.
He is understood to be one of the top earners at Goodison Park and is clearly not justifying that outlay spent on his wages.

His contract runs out at the end of the season and thus far there is little reason to believe he deserves a new deal.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have already made contact to sign two players in the summer transfer window.
