Everton: ‘Desperate’ takeover verdict emerges at Goodison Park after what the Premier League did

Bryan King lacks confidence in 777 Partners and believes Farhad Moshiri is simply “desperate” to sell Everton.

The ex-Everton scout has blasted Moshiri for running the club in a “ridiculous” manner and feels that he is simply now trying to get out as quickly as possible.

In a recent letter to Everton supporters, the Premier League have responded to concerns over the takeover of the club, detailing the approach they are taking to provide an assessment of 777 Partners as prospective owners (via Liverpool Echo, 4 April).

King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that the Toffees’ prospective new owners are not fit for purpose, and has shared his thoughts on the potential reasons behind the takeover.

“I don’t feel confident about 777 Partners. It seems as if all of the clubs they have been involved with have had some sort of problem.

“But it is a difficult situation because Moshi is desperate to sell.

“He wants to try and get his money back, but half of this is his fault anyway because there has been terrible recruitment and overspending in recent years.

“It is ridiculous the way the money has been spent at Everton.”

Everton supporters and Sean Dyche deserve clarity at Goodison Park

It has been another dreadful season at Goodison Park.

Supporters and perhaps even the players must be struggling to find motivation with constant points deductions and financial punishments hanging like a grey cloud over Everton.

Every step forward has been followed by two steps back, and the fans will just be desperate for some clarity as Sean Dyche looks to keep the Toffees in the Premier League.

With a new stadium on the way, this should be an exciting time for the club, but it is quite the opposite and the Premier League’s letter likely did very little to put supporters’ minds at ease.

In other Everton news, King has shared a “terrible” Goodison Park admission with a potential points deduction on the cards on Monday.
