Everton v Chelsea: Lewis Dobbin injury update shared by Doctor
Everton attacker Lewis Dobbin may be ruled out of the Chelsea clash with an ankle injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the worst case scenario for the striker would be ruptured ligaments which would keep him out for up to three months.
If he is to be fit against Chelsea on 15 April, he will have to undergo a late fitness test before being cleared.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Dobbin:
“The worst case scenario would have been Grade 3 fully ruptured ligaments along with a fracture, typically looking at 10-12 weeks there.
“If an April return is on the cards, he should be back in first team training right now.
“Whether or not he’s ready for the game on Monday post his ankle injury, remains to be seen, but the chances are slim.
“In case he is, he will have had to have trained all week and will require a fitness test in the coming days.“
Everton will hope Dobbin returns before the season ends
While Sean Dyche does not start Dobbin regularly, the 21-year-old has been brought off the bench on numerous occasions this season.
In his 11 Premier League appearances, the Englishman has started just once – showing Dyche prefers to bring him on to change the outcomes of games.

There is a very good chance that they chase the game against Chelsea on Monday night and Dobbin would be a useful option in reserve.
