Everton: Ray Parlour fumes at Premier League live on talkSPORT after what Sean Dyche told him

Ray Parlour has fumed at the recent Premier League points deductions after Everton boss Sean Dyche told him he doesn’t even know what’s happening.

Parlour branded the situation an “absolute mess” while Alan Brazil echoed his sentiment calling it a “joke” after the controversy and inconsistency surrounding the decisions.

This comes after Everton were handed another two-point deduction on top of their previous six points for breaches of profit and sustainability rules.

Speaking live on talkSPORT [12 April, 06:28], Parlour shared: “I spoke to Sean Dyche and he said people keep asking him what’s happening and he doesn’t know. Nobody knows where they stand at the moment. It’s an absolute mess.”

Brazil, meanwhile, fumed: “It’s an absolute joke, honestly.”

Plenty of outrage has emerged surrounding the uncertainty of the points deductions and financial breaches this season, and Dyche’s admission that even he does not know where the club stands is a damning view of the situation.

The news broke on 8 April that Dyche’s team had been handed a further two points deduction as a result of their second breach of profit and sustainability rules, dragging the club further into the tightly-packed relegation battle.

With two deductions given already and a third on the cards, Everton may not know the outcome of their latest appeal until after the end of the season, something Brazil had previously suggested would affect more clubs than just the Toffees.

Sean Dyche’s Everton side have faced plenty of challenges both on and off the pitch this season.

It has since emerged that the Premier League will change their PSR rules next season after what happened to both Everton and Forest, changing to a squad cost cap rather than the loss limit which the Toffees fell foul of.
