Everton insider shares team news prediction v Chelsea as Dominic Calvert-Lewin verdict shared
Bryan King claims Dominic Calvert-Lewin has found form at the perfect time for Everton ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea.
The ex-Everton scout believes the striker’s return to goalscoring form is exactly what Sean Dyche needs at this point of the season.
Calvert-Lewin has two goals in his last two Premier League matches, with the Toffees set to travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Monday (15 April).
King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes the 27-year-old should keep his place in the team.
“Dyche needs to put 11 players out there who are completely focused on keeping Everton in the Premier League,” King said.
“Calvert-Lewin must play. He is scoring which is positive for him and positive for the club, especially at this stage of the season, because they have been struggling to score goals.
“At the other end of the pitch, they’ve been keeping things tight lately, and they will need to ensure they don’t get beaten at Stamford Bridge.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin back among the goals for Everton ahead of Chelsea clash
Calvert-Lewin has been in and out of Dyche’s starting lineup in recent months.
After 18 matches without a Premier League goal, the striker was back on the scoresheet as he netted a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at St James’ Park (2 April).
He was once again among the goals just a few days later, scoring a crucial winner as the Toffees recorded a massive win over Burnley at Goodison Park (6 April) in what was a real relegation six-pointer.

Calvert-Lewin will be buzzing, and considering all the struggles around the club at the moment, Dyche cannot afford to drop one of the rare bright sparks in his team at the moment to the bench.
