Everton shareholder fumes as image shared ahead of Chelsea clash
Mike Parry has been left fuming as he’s taken to Twitter to share an image ahead of the Everton v Chelsea Premier League clash.
The Toffees shareholder has confirmed that he will be in attendance at Stamford Bridge on 15 April to watch his side take on the London outfit.
However, he found it to be an issue that his ticket was a QR code and not a hard copy which he could frame and add to his collection.
He wrote on Twitter: “OK FOLKS. Off to The Bridge for tonight’s the mighty Everton game. My ticket for the match is one of those QR bar codes on my phone. Terrible shame because I want a proper ticket on a lanyard to add to my collection. I’ve got hundreds from games going back 25 years.”
Everton must look to get at least a point from Chelsea
While Parry’s personal collection of match tickets is extensive, his focus on the format of the ticket detracts from the more pressing matter at hand – the Tofees’ performance and potential points gained in their fight against relegation.
Fans will be more concerned with their team’s performance in the crucial match against Chelsea, particularly given their precarious position in the Premier League.
The Toffees are currently facing a tough battle to avoid relegation, and a point at Stamford Bridge would be a valuable addition to their tally.
Despite the odds, there is room for optimism, as Sean Dyche’s side have shown resilience in their recent performances, especially with players like Dominic Calvert-Lewin, James Garner and Arnaut Danjuma potentially returning from injury.
The match against Chelsea is an opportunity for the Goodison Park outfit to prove their mettle and secure vital points in their bid to stay in the Premier League.
In other Everton news, the third-party debt has now risen to over £500million as the Toffees have had to shell out an eight-figure payment as chaos ensues.
