Simon Jordan brutally mocks Everton and Andy Burnham after 6-0 loss v Chelsea
Simon Jordan has brutally mocked Everton and MP Andy Burnham after the club’s 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea on Monday 15 April.
The Toffees were battered at Stamford Bridge as Cole Palmer netted four times including a hat-trick in the opening 30 minutes, with Sean Dyche left seething at full-time by the performance of his team.
Everton now sit just two points above the relegation zone with six games to play and Jordan took to his personal X account (16 April) to have a cheeky swipe at the club’s current situation after their appeal for the second deduction was confirmed before the game.
“Breaking news, apparently Everton and Andy Burnham have appealed last night’s result and expect to get at least two goals back,” he wrote.
Everton have become a laughing stock
The Toffees are an absolute joke on the pitch right now with just one win in the last 15 games, but they’re also a massive joke off the pitch too.
A takeover situation that is eight months down the line and no closer to an ending has made everyone aware of how poorly run the club is, and there is even a sense that the club couldn’t afford to sack Sean Dyche even if they wanted to.
The club have been hard done by when it comes to the points deductions with the PSR charges, especially since it now seems obvious that those rules could be changed for next season.
But for Jordan to make a joke of the whole scenario is quite sad as it opens up the channels of abuse to be thrown at the club, when this isn’t the doing of the players.
However, with that said, the performance of the players at Stamford Bridge was unacceptable and losing 6-0 is never okay, so the players deserve all the stick they’re going to get ahead of the weekend where they have a chance to put it right.
In other Everton news, one Toffees midfielder may not play again this season after Dyche’s latest update.
