Everton in terrible situation as Goodison insider shares fresh 777 Partners suspicion

Bryan King claims he is “wary” of 777 Partners after the latest takeover twist at Everton.

The ex-Everton scout doesn’t understand why 777 still haven’t been able to come up with the funds required to complete the takeover of the Toffees.

It comes after The Guardian reported on Tuesday (16 April) that 777 had been granted an extension, which is thought to be a matter of weeks, to repay a £160million loan which was due on Monday 15 April.

Repaying the loan is one of the conditions which must be met by the American investment firm if they are to complete the takeover of Everton, and this latest delay means it has now been more than seven months since Farhad Moshiri agreed to sell his stakeholding in Everton to 777 (via The Guardian, 15 September).

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has revealed he has no trust in Everton’s prospective new owners.

“I can’t see why this hasn’t been sorted out already. What difference will a couple of weeks make,” King said.

“Things aren’t going well for Everton, they obviously need some form of solution, but I would be very wary of 777 Partners based on what I have seen. Who is going to be on the board? They will want their own people in there I imagine, and it is hard to trust them.

“Everton have relegation hanging over their head, multiple points deductions and I just feel sorry for the football club and their supporters because they have been left in a terrible situation.”

Everton supporters won’t know how to feel after latest 777 twist at Goodison Park

It would be hard to blame any Everton supporters for having trust issues when it comes to the owners of their football club after the way the last few years have gone.

While the extension granted to 777 eased any fears of potential administration, it will still be seen as a massive red flag among supporters at Goodison Park.

Everton supporters will be desperate for a takeover to go through at Goodison Park

Should they eventually complete a takeover of the football club, faith will be low among the fanbase, and 777 would need to do something quickly to turn that around.
