Everton: Jarrad Branthwaite ‘concern’ emerges as Sean Dyche offers injury update ahead of Forest
Bryan King believes that Jarrad Branthwaite’s injury status ahead of the clash with Nottingham Forest is a “big concern” for Everton.
The ex-Everton scout has stressed the importance of the Toffees’ upcoming clash, as Everton prepares to welcome Nottingham Forest to Goodison Park on Sunday (21 April) in a match which could go a long way in defining both teams’ seasons.
Speaking ahead of the match, Sean Dyche has revealed (via Liverpool Echo, 19 April) that Branthwaite “trained lightly” on Friday (19 April), which throws into doubt whether or not the 22-year-old will be fit to start.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has urged the Toffees to get back to winning ways.
“That would be a big concern for Everton,” King said.
“Dyche will need to look at what he has available and will be demanding a response because they were incredibly poor on Monday.
“The players that are playing at the moment aren’t doing well enough. Dyche needs to shake things up, and that would have started the day after the Chelsea thrashing.”
Everton need three points against Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park
Relegation six-pointers don’t come much bigger than this.
This is a must-win game for Dyche and his players.
With just one win in their last 15 league fixtures, this is a real opportunity for Everton to start to gather some momentum.

Just one point separates the Reds and the drop zone, while Everton currently sit two points above the bottom three, which means the winners of this match could have one foot in next season’s Premier League.
Provided neither team is deducted any more points that is.
