Jamie Carragher predicts scoreline of Everton v Nottingham Forest in Premier League

Jamie Carragher has shared his prediction ahead of the Everton clash against Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park on Sunday (21 April).

After a shocking 6-0 defeat against Chelsea, Sean Dyche needs to bounce back with a positive result. With six games remaining, his side sits two points above the relegation zone.

The Toffees and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are separated by just a point so a win in this six-pointer will be vital in the relegation battle.

Sky Sports pundit, Carragher has predicted on Super 6 (19 April), that Everton will secure an important 1-0 win at home to Forest.

Everton win v Nottingham Forest could be vital

Thanks to multiple points deductions and some sub-par performances, the Toffees are involved in a relegation battle.

Dyche’s side sit in 16th place, one above Forest in 17th and two points off Luton Town in the relegation zone.

The Hatters are playing a huge game of their own as they welcome Brentford on Saturday (20 April). By the end of the weekend, Everton could be in the bottom three if results go against them.

Playing at Goodison, they can’t allow other teams to decide their fate and must strive to take all three points off Forest.

In their remaining fixtures, the Toffees face top sides like Liverpool and Arsenal where points will not come easily.

If Santo’s side comes to Merseyside and take all three points, Dyche will have to look at clashes against Brentford, Luton and Sheffield United knowing they all have huge importance.

A win on Sunday (21 April) will take a huge weight off the shoulders of everyone at Goodison.
