Everton v Brentford predicted XI: Sean Dyche to drop Idrissa Gueye

Everton will be looking to build on the Liverpool victory when they take on Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday, 27 April.

The Toffees secured an unlikely 2-0 victory at Goodison Park against their arch rivals on Wednesday and will play in front of their fans once again when Thomas Frank’s side visits town.

Sean Dyche may not want to change too much but there will be certain calls that are not in his hands.

Everton will be eyeing back to back wins

Vitalli Mykolenko started the Merseyside derby but appeared to have twisted his ankle in the game and had to be taken off with Dyche admitting he’s a doubt for Saturday.

Ashley Young replaced him and the Tofees still managed to keep a clean sheet so he’s expected to play at left-back.

Ben Godfrey did a decent job at right-back and even if Seamus Coleman returns, he must retain his spot in the XI.

In midfield, Idrissa Gueye started v Liverpool and Amadou Onana came off the bench so it could be a game in which the latter starts in place of the former.

James Garner can play a slightly withdrawn role to give Everton a three-man midfield and control over proceedings.

They may even need Onana’s physicality in the middle of the park given the Bees’ direct and abrasive brand of football.

In other Everton news, a senior player may never start for the club again after the Chelsea loss and is now very likely to leave in June.
