Jurgen Klopp blasted after what Liverpool boss was spotted doing on touchline v Everton

Adrian Durham has blasted Jurgen Klopp after what he spotted him doing on the touchline during Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.

The Toffees claimed a sensational victory thanks to goals from Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to move them eight points clear of the relegation zone with four games remaining.

It also put a huge dent in Liverpool’s title charge in Jurgen Klopp’s final season, and talkSPORT reporter Durham took to his personal X account (24 April) to criticise the Kop boss for his antics with the fourth-official during the game.

“Jurgen Klopp spent most of the evening getting stuck into Simon Hooper the 4th official,” he said.

“He’s not the only one who does it, but couldn’t help thinking his time would’ve been better spent focusing on things he can control.”

Everton fans can laugh at Jurgen Klopp forever

It’s been a long, hard season for the Toffees, with Sean Dyche constantly fighting to beat relegation and keep the club together while under pressure for his job.

But if you had told fans that they would all but secure their Premier League status by beating Liverpool at Goodison Park to end their title hopes in Klopp’s final derby, they’d probably have ripped your hand off for the moment.

Klopp has always been a sore loser and is the worst around when it comes to making excuses there’s nobody worse, so getting the final laugh over him is something that will live long in the memory.

Dyche has done a fantastic job this season, and it’s easy to forget that without the points deductions, the club would be way further up the table and would have been safe a long time ago.

He’s the perfect Everton manager and has given fans a lasting memory in a horrid season, and now they don’t have to see Klopp anymore either. Perfect ending.
