Everton striker Beto worst-case injury scenario shared by Doctor

Everton striker Beto risked being ruled out for months had he needed surgery due to a brain bleed, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert reacted as the Portuguese striker had to be taken off a stretcher in the 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

There were positive updates shortly after from the club with Sean Dyche saying that he’ll be able to return sooner rather than later.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Beto:

The best case scenario here would be just head trauma without concussion or other internal issues.

Worst case scenario here would have been a brain bleed that requires emergency surgery.

That could’ve seen him being out for months as well.

However, based on comments in post, this doesn’t sound like anything close to the worst case scenario but testing will still be ongoing.

Everton striker Beto avoids severe injury

It’s indeed a relief that Beto’s injury isn’t as severe as it could have been.

The fact that he’s conscious, speaking and able to communicate with fans and the medical team suggests that he has avoided terrible scenarios such as a brain bleed.
