Everton confirm £100m windfall after ‘Absolutely Huge’ Premier League boost
Dan Plumley has praised Everton for securing Premier League survival next season and banking themselves a £100million-plus boost in the process.
The Toffees picked up a third consecutive win over Brentford on Saturday 27 April to confirm their spot in the top-flight next season with three games remaining of the campaign, despite being deducted eight points for financial rule breaks.
With the club facing significant financial trouble currently, with 777 Partners loaning the club a further £16m to take their total to over £200m to help with day-to-day running costs, the finance expert has shared just how huge survival is with money now guaranteed.
“Really significant, we’ve said this all along haven’t we in terms of talking about Everton and their financial situation,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“A big sticking point has always been Premier League survival and that generates you, as we know,£100m at least from broadcast money.
“Of course with everything, looking at the move to the new stadium as well, and what that can bring from a revenue-generating potential, it’s kind of encapsulated by being a Premier League club.
“Survival is absolutely huge in the context of any club really in the Premier League, given the money, and we know what that can bring in terms of TV cash in particular.
“Particularly in Everton’s situation and the way their season has played out with the points deductions, it’s a significant hurdle to get over and a real positive in terms of sporting performance at least on the pitch this season.”
Everton get huge financial boost from Premier League survival
The financial situation at Goodison Park currently is hugely concerning, and the longer the 777 Partners takeover situation goes on, the worse it’s going to get.
But by securing Premier League survival for the 2024/25 season the club can at least start to plan for the new season knowing they have a big amount of broadcast money coming in no matter what.
That future guarantee of cash will be great for the balance sheet and can certainly stop the club from entering administration, although the risk is still certainly there.

With the summer on the horizon, there will need to be big decisions made with the playing staff and beyond, and another year of being in the top flight means a bit more security.
Dyche will want to have more security around the club next year to avoid off-field distractions, and a big cash injection could certainly do the trick.
In other Everton news, the Toffees want to sign one “outstanding” talent and could loan him back out immediately.
