Alan Brazil reacts to ‘bonkers’ Sean Dyche comments on 777 Partners latest at Everton

Alan Brazil has reacted to comments made by Sean Dyche as the 777 Partners takeover at Everton continues to stall.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday (1 May), the Toffees manager admitted that the club’s transfer plans for the summer are on hold until the takeover is completed.

Fans at Goodison Park have been waiting patiently since the back end of September since an initial deal with 777 Partners was struck, with uncertainty continuing to grow.

Speaking live via talkSPORT on Wednesday (2 May, 7:08am), Brazil said: “It’s incredible isn’t it, just when you thought Everton were out of it, they’re straight back in.

“I think Everton fans have had enough. I’m really saddened by this news, whether the takeover may happen or not happen.”

Brazil went on to add: “It’s just bonkers.”

Sean Dyche and Everton facing continued uncertainty at Goodison Park

With a total of eight points being deducted due to separate Profit and Sustainability breaches, Everton looked doomed to fall into the depths of the Championship at the end of the current campaign.

However, Dyche has led the club to Premier League safety for a second successive season after seeing a 1-0 win over Brentford at the weekend securing their spot in the top tier for next season.

Though there is still a lot of uncertainty over the club’s takeover, the recent run of results has given the Goodison Park faithful a lot of confidence, with one less thing to worry about.

Of course, 777 Partners’ deal at Goodison Park needs to be completed to avoid further issues, with more points deductions, player sales and administration all being mooted in the last few months.

Fans have been left in the dark for the majority of the current season, which has been no help for nerves, and this will only be exacerbated after Dyche’s recent comments ahead of next season.

In other Everton news, the Toffees want to sign one “outstanding” talent and could loan him back out immediately.
