Alan Myers shares if Sean Dyche will be Everton manager after David Moyes update
Alan Myers is confident that Sean Dyche will remain Everton manager after West Ham confirmed David Moyes would leave at the end of the season.
Moyes has a history with the Toffees, having been manager at Goodison Park between 2002 and 2013 before moving on to Manchester United, and will be out of a job this summer.
While the Scot has struggled, Dyche has helped Everton to avoid Premier League relegation for a third consecutive, all while battling against points deductions and the uncertainty of the club’s takeover bid.
Asked if Moyes could replace Dyche, Myers replied via X on Monday (6 May): “I doubt it, plus I’m quite confident SD [Sean Dyche] will be our manager next season.”
Would Everton replace Sean Dyche with David Moyes?
It is difficult to see a future where Moyes replaces Dyche at Goodison Park ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, especially the latter being a much-loved figure at the club.
Without the points deductions this season, which have been through no fault of his own, Everton would be sitting comfortably in 13th place, 19 points clear of the dreaded dropzone.
Despite the setbacks throughout the season, Dyche has done incredibly well to keep his squad motivated and even saw his players boosted after each points deduction.
Everton initially went on a four-game win streak after being docked eight points, beating Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Burnley and are currently four games unbeaten again.
Those four games have included a special Merseyside derby victory and a 1-0 win over Brentford that saw the Toffees confirm their safety in the Premier League, against all the odds.
While Moyes is a big name in football and has achieved a lot with West Ham, it is highly unlikely that Everton make a switch this summer.
