Farhad Moshiri stance on ditching 777 Partners takeover emerges at Everton after fresh news
Farhad Moshiri has not changed his mind on 777 Partners’ proposed takeover at Goodison Park despite a scathing attack from Everton minority shareholders, according to The Telegraph.
The newspaper reported online (7 May) that the Everton Shareholders’ Association has urged Mohsiri to pull the plug on a proposed deal with 777, stating that the “powers-that-be are being disrespectful”.
It comes as the American investment firm continues to find itself in legal trouble.
However, sources close to the Toffees have revealed that “there had been no immediate change of mind from Moshiri around the proposed takeover.”
Abandoning the deal cleanly would be impossible for Everton as 777 Partners have been paying off club debts which total more than £100million.
Farhad Moshiri has created a mess for Everton at Goodison Park
It is hard to fathom the number of mistakes which had to have been made for Moshiri to find himself in this situation with Everton.
This has been the most drawn-out takeover saga in recent times and supporters at Goodison Park will be left wondering what they have done to deserve this absolute mess.
While Moshiri continues to insist on completing a deal with 777, it is hard to see how that gets done at this moment in time.
His reluctance to abandon talks is clearly beginning to frustrate other influential figures within the club as this takeover drama takes yet another twist.

What the Toffees need is a new prospective owner to step up and rescue them, with 777 clearly not fit for purpose at this moment in time.
The longer this drags on, the harder it is to foresee a resolution, and Moshiri needs to start making some tough decisions.
