Farhad Moshiri and 777 Partners in crunch Everton takeover talks, answer in days
Discussions between Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and 777 Partners are expected to continue after the two parties met for crunch talks in London on Tuesday (7 May), according to Alan Myers.
The Sky Sports journalist reported via X [8 May] that Moshiri and 777 Partners want to seek clarity and a resolution to complete the takeover before the Toffees’ final home game of the season against Sheffield United on Saturday 11 May.
Talks have been ongoing since September when 777 Partners registered their initial interest in an Everton takeover, a bid that has stalled ever since, causing uncertainty at Goodison Park.
Myers wrote: “Discussions remain ongoing between Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and representatives of 777 Partners regarding the sale of the club.
“Both sides met in London yesterday and talks are expected to continue over the next few days as Moshiri seeks clarity and a resolution to complete the deal with an outcome expected before the club’s final home game of the season against Sheffield United on Saturday.”
