Everton and 777 Partners are days away from learning their takeover fate, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports journalist admitted that the takeover will not happen if the American investment fund cannot meet the conditions of the SPA and Premier League.

Myers went on to say that the Toffees are close to finding that out but delivered a warning that has been said before with no end result, as of yet.

Writing on X on 7 May, Myers said: "It’s simple, if they can’t meet the conditions of the SPA (and Premier League) it won’t happen, I think we are close to finding that out.

"Days, but I’ve thought that a few times now and been proved wrong but let’s see."

777 Partners to find out Everton takeover fate

This is the moment that everyone surrounding Goodison Park has been waiting for.

Whilst things on the pitch have been massively positive recently, securing Premier League football for yet another new season, things off it have been carnage.

The constant confusion surrounding this takeover has not helped, and the negative stories that seem to be appearing on 777 daily are a real concern.

Everyone knows that repaying loans to MSP Capital, as well as George Downing and Andy Bell, are key to getting the takeover green light.

That has not yet happened and given that an extension was already agreed to pay those loans back, it looks as though 777 are scrambling once again.

Add that information to the delayed cash injection for the club recently, and nothing is looking positive surrounding this takeover right now.

Everyone is craving some positive news regarding this, and an update may finally be days away.
