Kaveh Solhekol shares ‘crazy’ Everton update live on Sky Sports amid £1bn development
Kaveh Solhekol insists there remains hope for Everton despite the ongoing takeover uncertainty with 777 Partners.
Farhad Moshiri and 777 recently met for crunch talks as the Everton takeover saga drags on.
And despite a lack of clarity, Solhekol has insisted that there is room for supporters at Goodison Park to be optimistic.
“It sounds a little crazy for me to say this, but I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom as far as Everton are concerned,” he said on Sky Sports News [5:05 pm, 8 May]
“There is some light at the end of the tunnel, but only if we have a resolution to this 777 saga. They have a new stadium opening soon that is valued at about £1billion.
“My understanding is that there are other options for Moshiri; there are other investors waiting to do a deal for Everton, but nothing can be done until somebody comes out and says once and for all that the deal with 777 is off.”
Farhad Moshiri must decide on the future of Everton
If Moshiri does have other options as Solhekol has suggested, it is quite baffling why the Everton majority owner hasn’t seriously explored those options.
As much as he continues to push for a resolution with 777, all the evidence points toward the American investment firm not being fit for purpose.
Considering all the legal issues surrounding the Miami-based group, it is surprising that the Premier League has yet to intervene and prevent this deal from going ahead.
At this moment in time, it appears that the only people who want 777 Partners to complete their takeover at Goodison Park are Moshiri and 777 themselves.

It will be reassuring for Everton fans to be reminded of why they should remain optimistic, but after the way things have gone in recent times, it would be unfair to blame them for not sharing this sense of optimism.
Hopefully for Everton, they do reach the light at the end of the tunnel which Solhekol has suggested exists, as that would allow them to then start looking forward to a brighter future.
