Everton make wise choice over £30m Jack Harrison transfer decision

Everton are rightly waiting until they are financially secure until they make a decision on whether to sign Jack Harrison in the summer transfer window.

The Leeds United loanee has had a positive spell with the Toffees, which may see Sean Dyche want to make the move permanent.

There is a reported £30million fee that the Whites are after and it remains unclear as to whether Everton will be able to afford this.

After his side’s win against Sheffield United, Dyche has spoken about the potential of signing Harrison permanently, transcribed by Liverpool Echo [12 May].

He said: “We will wait and see. The first thing was making sure we were safe, then once we were safe we could re-evaluate the internal truth with the financial side of what we can do, so that will be an ongoing process.”

Everton wise to wait on Jack Harrison decision

With the issues surrounding Everton and Farhad Moshiri this season there needs to be some sensibility around the transfer window.

There may be new owners at the helm over the summer but given the issues with 777 Partners, that remains unclear.

There have been links to Kevin Malone as well as MSP Sports Capital, which could excite fans for the future.

As it stands, Moshiri is in charge and the club are struggling financially, which saw eight points worth of deductions across the current campaign.

With that being said, making a delayed decision on signing Harrison shows that they are trying to be clever and not rush into any signings.

Jack Harrison is unlikely to stay with Everton next season

He has had a solid season, nothing particularly special, but he is a well-liked figure at Goodison Park and certainly adds to Dyche’s squad.

Whether he is worth £30m is unclear but given the current state of the transfer market, who knows?

In other Everton news, the club have been ‘severely punished’ after Farhad Moshiri’s mistakes.
