Chris Sutton predicts result of Arsenal clash v Everton and if Gunners will win Premier League
Everton will end their Premier League campaign with their first defeat in six matches when they face Arsenal on Sunday (19 May), according to Chris Sutton.
Sean Dyche’s side will make the trip to the Emirates with nothing to play for other than their pride but the BBC Sport pundit thinks the Gunners will manage to claim all three points with a 3-0 win.
Arsenal know they have to win to have any hope of lifting the Premier League title and while Sutton still expects Manchester City to get the job done, he thinks the Gunners will give their fans something to celebrate.
Writing in his BBC Sport Premier League predictions (16 May) he said: “Sean Dyche is a scrapper and his Everton side are enjoying a strong end to the season. He would like nothing more than to end with a positive result here, but I cannot see past an Arsenal victory.
“With 15 wins, one draw and only one defeat from their past 17 Premier League games, the Gunners don’t deserve to finish second but that is what is going to happen, and other than the Community Shield, they are going to finish trophyless too.
“Arsenal have invited players from their Invincibles side – who stayed unbeaten the last time they were champions in 2004 – to this game so they will want to put on a show for them.
“They should have something to smile about, even if there is no title to celebrate.”
Will Everton and Sean Dyche stop Arsenal from winning the Premier League?
For Dyche and his side, the pressure is now completely off. They have finished the season in excellent form and booked their place in the Premier League next term. Their work is finished.
While the former Burnley boss will be desperate to finish the campaign with three more points, his entire focus will be on getting through the game and then looking ahead to the summer.

Off-the-field issues at Goodison Park mean there is a massive element of uncertainty around the blue half of Merseyside at the moment. Hopefully, once the football is out of the way, some common sense will prevail behind the scenes.
Heading into this clash the pressure is completely on Arsenal. If Dyche’s squad turn up like they did against Liverpool, there is absolutely no reason why they cannot claim all three points.
