Everton have ideal Dominic Calvert-Lewin partner already lined up at Goodison Park
Sean Dyche may have an ideal second striker partner for Dominic Calvert-Lewin already lined up in Neal Maupay as he looks set to return to Everton after his loan at Brentford ends.
After a more productive season in front of goal this season, the Frenchman looks set for a return to Goodison Park this summer.
The Athletic reported (17 May) that the Bees aren’t likely to make the loan move permanent despite having an option to buy in their loan agreement.
This could see Maupay, who let’s remember is worth multi-millions, stay at Everton and become a useful asset in Dyche’s side next season in the Premier League.
The key to this is that he has proved to form a positive duo at times with Ivan Toney and he could now replicate that partnership at Goodison Park with Calvert-Lewin.
Neal Maupay to make Everton return
If Brentford aren’t to keep the forward after his loan spell finishes then he will be returning to Everton ahead of pre-season.
The Toffees have had their problems with finances and may opt to try and move the Frenchman on in the transfer window.
With that being said, it is unlikely a worthwhile fee is going to be tabled for Maupay so he is worth keeping hold of.
This season he has formed a partnership with Toney since his return from his ban which has seen them score six and four respectively in that time.
On his return to Everton, he could form a similar duo with Calvert-Lewin if the Englishman can stay fit throughout the season.

This could allow Dyche to operate in a familiar 4-4-2 formation as he did at Burnley with Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.
The Toffees have been defensively sound this campaign but making use of an additional striker, they could massively improve in front of goal.
Maupay could be worth holding on to, to see if he can find his best form in an Everton shirt.
