Farhad Moshiri millions vanish as Everton chief suffers yet another blow at Goodison

Farhad Moshiri has lost £130 million from his net worth over the past 12 months in another issue which may affect Everton, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Isaac Johnson has reported (17 May) that his worth has declined by over £200m over the last year as the Toffees’ downward spiral continues.

This has been said in response to the Sunday Times Rich List for 2024 which has named Moshiri as the 112th richest person in the UK.

His net worth is said to be an eye-watering £1.5bn which is crazy considering the issues that Everton are suffering.

Farhad Moshiri still searching for new Everton owner

A deal with 777 Partners had looked for a long time as if it was done and was just waiting to be completed and announced.

The Miami-based firm have had issues of their own which have slowed the deal and put Moshiri off continuing.

This has seen them make a late payment to Everton which nearly resulted in them being unable to pay daily running costs.

They have also paid staff and player wages late at Standard Liege before having their assets frozen after a default payment.

Josh Wander and 777 Partners’ wait to complete the takeover of Everton goes on.

With 777 Partners seemingly out of the running to purchase the club, there is no apparent route forward now despite rumours.

Given that Moshiri reportedly has a wealth of £1.5bn it is of confusion as to how he can’t afford to make these payments himself.

He clearly has Everton’s best interests at heart by rejecting 777 Partners but that wealth could surely help to soften the blow.
