Everton to reject Jarrad Branthwaite bids if they can sell high-value teammates instead – Forbes

Everton will rejected bids for Jarrad Branthwaite this summer if they can sell other high-value players instead, according to Forbes.

Writing on their website (24 May), the news outlet report that the central defender is the club’s most valuable asset and is likely to be subject to big-money bids from the likes of Manchester United during the transfer window.

But while the Toffees know they must make a sale before June 30th, they would rather sell other players including the likes Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jordan Pickford or Amadou Onana in order to keep hold of him.

Everton must do all they can to keep Jarrad Branthwaite

Everyone is prepared for sales this summer at Goodison Park, and the majority of people are expecting Branthwaite to be the one to go before any other.

He is the perfect profile of defender. 21-years-old, left-footed, 6ft 5 with pace, great in the air and as comfortable on the ball as he is when in one v one defensive situations.

So it’s not a surprise that the top clubs are looking to bring him in this summer after his breakthrough campaign under Sean Dyche to help the Toffees avoid the drop last season despite points deductions.

Jarrad Branthwaite is a player Everton are desperate to keep hold of this summer.

But he is also the must irreplaceable player in the squad because of his talent, quality and profile, which means they need to do everything they can to keep him.

If others can be sold to keep him at the club then it’s a decision that needs to be made, but most Everton fans would be happy for them to take that lane and sell others before him.

In other Everton news, the club are set to lose a chunk of any fee they receive on one player should a transfer happen this summer.
