Everton Women confirm new two-year deal for forward Katja Snoeijs
Katja Snoejis has signed a new two-year contract with Everton Women and said she is happy to continue her journey as part of a “promising project.”
The Netherlands international striker, 27, will continue her stay at Walton Hall Park until at least 2026, having arrived as manager Brian Sorensen’s first signing in the summer 2022 transfer window.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Snoeijs said that she had much more to give in the coming seasons with the Toffees, who will look to build on an eighth-placed finish in the Women’s Super League.
Snoeijs said: “I want to keep developing and I’m happy I can continue my journey at Everton.
“You can see we are building a promising project. I like the way we play, and I think over the past two seasons we have built something.”
Snoeijs hoping to help Everton climb up WSL table
Everton Women were as mid-table as mid-table gets last season, finishing 17 points clear of relegated Bristol City but also a huge 27 away from the top three and Champions League qualification.
The Blues also suffered four straight losses in their Women’s League Cup Group, but did make it to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup , losing 1-0 to eventual WSL champions Chelsea.

Snoeijs managed five goals in 22 appearances across all competitions, making her the Blues’ top individual scorer.
However, with players like Khadija Shaw breaking records at the other end of the table, and Bristol City striker Amalie Thestrup netting nine herself, Snoejis needs to be more prolific in front of goal if she’s to fire the Toffees up towards those coveted European places.
With manager Sorensen, who brought Snoeijs to Walton Hall Park back in 2022, having also recently signed a new contract, the signs are good that Everton Women can build on their solid foundations at get closer to the WSL’s pace-setting sides next season.
