Galatasaray will be looking for a fee north of £21million if they are to sell Everton target Davinson Sanchez, according to Caught Offside.

The media outlet reported on 20 May that the Toffees are eyeing the former Tottenham centre-back as a replacement for the Manchester United-linked Jarrad Branthwaite.

West Ham, Fulham and Napoli are also keen on signing the Colombia international when the transfer window opens.

Everton must look for alternatives to Davinson Sanchez

£21million for Sanchez is indeed steep, especially considering his struggles during his time in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur.

While he has found some success with Galatasaray, his performances in the Turkish league might not necessarily translate to the same level in the Premier League.

The Toffees' interest in Sanchez as a replacement for Branthwaite, who is attracting attention from top clubs like Manchester United, is understandable but the high price tag for the 27-year-old may not be justified, given his inconsistent performances in the past.

There are other alternatives in the market that the club could consider as there are young and promising defenders with a lower price tag and higher potential for growth available.
