Everton transfer news as Blackburn striker Sammie Szmodics medical claim emerges
Blackburn Rovers striker Sammie Szmodics is likely to pass his Everton medical if needed, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Republic of Ireland international has an ideal fitness history and should have no issues in adapting to the Premier League.
He won the Golden Boot award this past season in the Championship and has been linked with a move to Goodison Park that could be worth £20million. [Alan Nixon]
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Szmodics:
“Szmodics is definitely ideal in terms of his fitness history and this would have been noted by clubs keeping tabs on him.
“A nearly impeccable injury record always bodes well when heading into higher intensity leagues.
“While the intensity of the Premier League is at another level, he’s proven his fitness in the Championship.
“Should Everton look to sign him, he will surely pass his medical.“

While the 28-year-old is an attacking midfielder by trade, he has played a number of games as a striker this past season.
It’s no surprise that he’s bagged 27 goals in the league, but the majority of them have come from the number 10 position.
Abdoulaye Doucoure has been deployed as the secondary striker by Sean Dyche and he would undoubtedly take someone like Szmodics in that role as it will even help ease the goal-scoring burden on
