Jarrad Branthwaite worry emerges from Sky Sports journalist amid Everton exit news

Dan Bardell has likened Jarrad Branthwaite to Lisandro Martinez as Manchester United look to sign the Everton star this summer.

The financial insecurity of Everton is no secret and it is clear that clubs like Man United are looking to take advantage of that situation.

If Sean Dyche’s side can afford to keep hold of Branthwaite then talkSPORT and Sky Sports journalist Bardell believes that will be the best for all parties.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Bardell said: “Manchester United move would concern me for him. How many players have gone to Man United and done well in recent years? Not very many.

Let’s say Lisandro Martinez is fit for a whole season, are they starting together, both left-footed, I don’t think so.

I just think he’s better off staying at Everton and developing at Everton is best. I think he’s better off staying where he is.

Jarrad Brathwaite told to extend Everton stay

It will be frustrating to the Everton hierarchy that clubs are attempting to take advantage of public financial issues the club have suffered.

Points deductions and difficulty finding new investors or owners have had a negative impact on the club despite Premier League safety being secured.

The Toffees know how much their star players are worth and shouldn’t allow themselves to be backed into a corner.

Branthwaite has now been called up to multiple England squads and played a large role in one of the best defences in the league.

At just 21 years old, he has plenty of potential which he will fulfil in the coming seasons and only become better.

Man United haven’t got the greatest track record for bettering players’ careers after signing them right now.

Looking at the likes of Mason Mount and Antony, they may be FA Cup winners but have gotten considerably worse after moving to Old Trafford.

If the Toffees accept an approach for Branthwaite that they can’t refuse, fans will hope he considers his options beforehand.
