Everton raise hand in bid to sign Heidenheim forward Jan-Niklas Beste as exit update emerges
Everton are interested in a move for FC Heidenheim winger Jan-Niklas Beste, according to Kicker.
The German news outlet reported online (30 May) that the Toffees are one of several clubs “said to have raised their hands” in regard to signing the 25-year-old.
Genoa, Villarreal and Galatasaray are also interested, with Heidenheim set to find it “very difficult” to keep hold of Beste.
The Bundesliga side have offered a contract extension to the German, with his current deal set to expire in 2025.
Jan-Niklas Beste would be a massive signing for Everton at Goodison Park
This would be a very exciting signing for Everton.
In a summer where outgoings look to be the priority, the addition of the forward would be huge.
Whether or not the club can afford a deal remains to be seen.
But if they can, then they should certainly look to get it done.
Beste was in inspired form in the Bundesliga last season, scoring eight goals and providing 13 assists.
And his impressive displays didn’t go unnoticed.
The forward received his first call-up to the German national team in March 2024.
His manager, Frank Schmidt, said (via the Bundesliga Website, 14 March), “Niklas is an incredibly important player for us, as he continually puts in good performances with his great attitude.”

This is one of the most exciting links at Goodison Park of the summer thus far.
If the Toffees were to bring him in, it would go a long way in helping them avoid another relegation battle.
