Everton not facing cashflow crisis as ‘crucial’ next steps mooted at Goodison Park
Everton are not currently facing a “cashflow crisis” after 777 Partners’ takeover bid fell through, though the next steps are “crucial”, according to Liverpool Echo.
The newspaper reported via its website [1 June] that Premier League merit payments and broadcast money will help the Toffees, while funds can also be generated through player sales in the transfer window.
It has been suggested that the likes of MSP Sports Capital, Andy Bell and George Downing could help with the financing at Goodison Park as Farhad Moshiri continues to search for a potential buyer.
Everton not in crisis yet as 777 Partners bid falls through
Even the most optimistic of fans had given up on the 777 Partners’ takeover at Goodison Park, and for many they think that in the long term avoiding a 777 ownership might be for the best.
Fire sales and administration have both been mooted since the Miami-based business registered their interest in the club, with ongoing financial problems elsewhere.
The diehard fans just want to know whether their club is going to be safe next season, especially after an extremely stressful 2023/24 campaign full of relegation threats and points deductions.
The Toffees cannot afford more uncertainty ahead of the next season, with the ongoing takeover problems already set to affect the club’s summer transfer window.

Jarrad Branthwaite, Jordan Pickford and Amadou Onana are all players who have been tipped to be sold in order to raise funds on Merseyside, which would leave Sean Dyche’s squad with multiple gaps to fill with a very limited budget.
While the likes of MSP, Bell and Downing would be able to help keep the club afloat in the short term, they would be unlikely to invest enough to help the club thrive during the transfer window, especially with the price tags floating about this year.
In other Everton news, Jarrad Branthwaite’s fee is to be slashed at Goodison Park as an England snub is mooted.
