Sean Dyche told Everton transfer update on four players at Goodison Park
Everton manager Sean Dyche will not be forced to sell four of his top players in a “fire sale” during this summer’s transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror.
The newspaper has reported that despite the Toffees’ ailing monetary situation, Dyche has been reassured that this will not result in his best talent being sold from underneath him.
Jarrad Branthwaite, Jordan Pickford, Amadou Onana and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were the four Blues players mentioned, all of whom have been linked with big-money moves away.
However, should the quartet stay put as has been implied, building a new-look squad around players like Branthwaite and Calvert-Lewin will likely be funded by the sales of other fringe players.
Everton will still expect high-profile players to leave this summer
For all the assurances the club’s hierarchy have given Dyche about the security of his squad, there’s little doubt that if a big enough bid comes in for any of the aforementioned quarter, Everton will likely accept.
The Toffees have slapped an £80million price tag on 21-year-old centre-back Branthwaite, telling Manchester United that they’ll accept nothing less than that amount.
That certainly doesn’t sound like a club desperate to sell their best talent in a fire sale, proven further by the fact that they are set to offer Calvert-Lewin a new contract.

Regardless, the Blues still have players who will attract many a suitor in the coming weeks and months, particularly Onana, who is backing himself to impress at EURO 2024 with Belgium.
Everton’s transfer strategy this summer will seemingly come down to who Dyche wants to keep and sell, as well as the players he’ll picture as key cogs in his new-look Blues team.
As richer rivals circle though, it remains to be seen if Pickford, Branthwaite, Onana and Calvert-Lewin will still be at Goodison Park by the start of next season.
In other Everton news, the Toffees want to sign an exit-bound Premier League ace to replace their own player who could depart this summer.
