Farhad Moshiri must force John Textor deal through as Everton administration mooted
Farhad Moshiri must force a deal through with John Textor over an Everton takeover before administration becomes a real possibility.
With Moshiri keen to sell his share at Goodison Park, the American Sports Tycoon has revealed his interest in taking over as the majority shareholder, though Premier League rules state that he must sell his shares in Crystal Palace first.
The uncertainty surrounding the Toffees has only increased since 777 Partners’ failed takeover attempt, having initially registered their interest in the club last September.
It is understood that multiple parties are already keeping an eye on the situation, with it being mooted that MSP Sports Capital and Rights and Media Funding Limited could come to an understanding to acquire Moshiri’s controlling stake. [Josimar]
However, this could spell danger for Everton, as the report suggests the two companies could force Sean Dyche’s side into administration, though it is understood neither is keen on that outcome.
While neither party would be keen on the club’s administration, the dire financial situation may leave them with no choice, which is why Moshiri must hurry through a deal with Textor instead.
John Textor to save Everton from administration
Fans are, obviously, desperate to know the fate of their beloved club, especially after a torrid season in the Premier League filled with points deductions and talk of selling their prized players.
While the American has his fair share of critics, mostly from his time in Brazil, his ownership looks to be a much better option than the two companies that could choose administration.

The Toffees are in an extremely difficult position, and although the love of many football fans lays bare on the line, multi-billion pound companies are much more likely to choose saving money over a football club.
Textor, on the other hand, has been a part of an incredible rebuild at Selhurst Park, with the appointment of Oliver Glasner just one of a handful of extremely smart choices made since his arrival in 2021.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have made a move for a record-breaking striker on a free transfer.
