Jack Harrison return key Everton transfer window ambition after Leeds United development
Jack Harrison’s return from Leeds United is a “key ambition” of the Everton transfer window, according to the Liverpool Echo.
A rundown on the outlet’s website on 5 June indicated that with the Toffees having just one senior wide man in the squad as things stand the position is a priority for the summer, and the Englishman re-signing for the club a prime target after he returned to Elland Road.
The Whites missed out on Premier League promotion after losing 1-0 to Southampton in the play off final and there is a clause in the 27-year-old’s deal that allows him to leave on a second loan as a result, but Daniel Farke’s side are predicted to want to do a permanent deal.
Harrison was a regular for Sean Dyche last term after recovering from a hip injury, making a total of 36 appearances, while scoring four goals and assisting three.
Sean Dyche needs Kevin Thelwell to sign Everton wide men
Dwight McNeil has proven his worth since following Dyche to Goodison Park from Burnley but clearly can’t constitute the entirety of his manager’s wing play next term, after Arnaut Danjuma’s less-successful loan also concluded.
Lewis Dobbin scored his first goal for the club against Chelsea last season but the 21-year-old is still inexperienced, so getting Harrison back makes a lot of sense.
The Leeds loanee wasn’t exactly on fire throughout the campaign but was “valued” by the club and is personally said to have “enjoyed his time on Merseyside”.
And since Kevin Thelwell is thought to have little in the way of a transfer budget to work with in light of ongoing takeover uncertainty and the continued pressure of profit and sustainability regulations Harrison would be a cheap, known quantity.

Everton likely wouldn’t be able to afford to do a permanent deal so the fact that Leeds missed out on promotion has opened a crucial door.
The club will hope the former Manchester City man’s own feelings towards a move after his season on loan will lead him to walk through it, since the potential that a rival to offer a transfer fee for his services is bound to be of preference to his club.
In other Everton news, a finance expert believes the club have banked close to £130million to ease cashflow fears.
