Everton ready £20m+ bid to sign OGC Nice star Khephren Thuram as news emerges from Italy

Everton are looking to strengthen their midfield with a move for OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram this summer, according to tuttojuve.com.

Massimo Pavan’s report [6 June] on the site claims that Everton are among the potential suitors for the France international, with Juventus and Napoli also interested in the 23-year-old.

Thuram is the son of French World Cup winner Lilian, and brother of Inter forward Marcus.

The article claims: “It’s not just Juventus interested in Khephren Thuram.

“Everton and Napoli also like the Nice midfielder and are ready to offer 25million euros. Juventus remain interested in the French player.”

The next move for Khephren Thuram has been on the cards for a while, having debuted for the full French national team in March 2023, and made 167 appearances for Nice since arriving in 2019.

Everton are seeking central midfield targets with some potential outgoings raising funds, including Amadou Onana, who has been linked with big-money moves to Champions League clubs.

Thuram’s style of play was analysed by The Coaches’ Voice in June last year, who labelled the Frenchman as a “number eight, or [can play] in a deeper defensive role”, adding that at 6’4”, he is both imposing and has the ability to “glide past players [like] Yaya Toure or Mousa Dembele”.

The platform backed him to enjoy a stellar career at that time, and predicted him to perform well in English football should he get a move.

Everton in the meantime have sniffed around the potential of bringing Kalvin Phillips in from Manchester City on loan, though City are understandably said to prefer a permanent sale.
