Arsenal confident of cut-price Amadou Onana transfer as talks held for Everton ace

Everton midfielder Amadou Onana’s representatives have already reached out to Arsenal and Manchester United, according to GiveMeSport.

The outlet reported on its website on Friday (7 June) that the Belgian international’s team have already contacted both Premier League giants to learn more about their transfer plans ahead of the summer window.

Sean Dyche’s side are expected to sell at least one big name this summer and there is a belief around Goodison Park that the Blues would be more willing to lose Onana than Jarrad Branthwaite or Jordan Pickford.

There is a feeling that the midfielder will be available at a cut price this summer as the Blues look to remain with profit and sustainability regulations having previously been hit by point deductions.

Will Amadou Onana leave Everton and Goodison Park during the summer transfer window?

It has felt almost inevitable since the start of the season that Onana could leave Goodison Park this summer, with speculation surrounding his future ever since the summer transfer window closed last year.

A whole host of Europe’s biggest clubs have been linked with the Belgian international and he has even gone as far as to hint that he would be open to completing a move away from Merseyside after this summer’s Euros.

While no official offers seem to have yet been made, the latest actions of his representatives show that he is keen to exit Everton this summer. Why else would they be enquiring about Arsenal and Manchester United’s transfer plans?

If Dyche’s side pocket a reasonable fee for his services, they may well be willing to let him depart this summer, but the Toffees have made it incredibly clear they will not be taking part in a fire sale when the window opens.

Should either United or Arsenal want to pursue a move for Onana, they are going to have to match the Blues’ asking price or they won’t get their man.
