Neal Maupay told to ‘grow up’ as Everton star is slammed for ‘childish’ stunt

Bryan King has told Everton forward Neal Maupay to “grow up” after his latest social media stunt.

The ex-Goodison scout has slammed the 27-year-old for his “childish” antics this week.

It comes after Maupay posted a photo of himself via his official X (6 June) holding three darts on the same afternoon that Tottenham ace James Maddison was left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has blasted the Frenchman for his behaviour.

“Sean Dyche won’t think anything of this,” King said.

“This is just social media nonsense. When is Maupay going to grow up? It is childish.

“I’m not interested in stuff like this, it is absolute rubbish.”

Neal Maupay must focus on salvaging his career at Goodison Park with Everton

Maupay always seems to be in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

A piece is rarely put together about the forward’s performance on the pitch.

Every news story about him seems to be linked to something he has done to wind up or irritate an opposition player.

While he might argue he is having fun, Maupay should be more focused on rescuing his career at Goodison Park.

He has made no impact whatsoever since joining Everton, and Dyche will be keen to see him do his talking on the pitch, not on social media.

In other Everton news, a Dyche exit verdict has emerged amid a transfer update at the club.
