Vatche Manoukian stance shared on Sean Dyche sack decision at Everton
Potential new Everton owner Vatche Manoukian is “impressed” with the work Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell have done at the club, according to The Independent.
The report on 9 June states that Everton fan Manoukian’s consortium has made a £400million all-equity bid to Farhad Moshiri.
Should it be accepted, it appears there would not be an immediate change in the dugout or indeed higher up with regards to Dyche and Thelwell.
How well has Sean Dyche done at Everton?
Dyche battled to keep the Toffees afloat in the Premier League last season, steering the side to the 40-point mark and a 15th-placed finish, 14 points clear of the drop in what was – in the end – a comfortable survival.
The season would have been viewed much more positively if not for the eight points the club were deducted for breaches of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) – the 48 points the Toffees actually accrued would have lifted them into 12th, above Bournemouth and below Brighton on goal difference.
However, a blot on Dyche’s record is the record-setting 13-game winless run the Toffees experienced in the Premier League between December and April that plunged their survival hopes into doubt.

Dyche’s pragmatic style is also unlikely to be a good fit in the long term if the club’s new owners have designs on eventually taking Everton back into the upper echelons of English football, but his methods have proved a reliable means of maintaining the Toffees’ Premier League status.
At least at first, the former Burnley boss’ job looks likely to be safe.
