Everton want to seal Tammy Abraham transfer as trust is lost at Roma
Everton are one of several Premier League clubs interested in signing Tammy Abraham from Roma this summer, according to La Gazzetta Della Sport.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [13 June, pg 31] that Everton – along with Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham – would be keen on offering Abraham a return to England as Roma pursue other attacking targets.
It is said that there is “no longer great confidence” in the 26-year-old from his current club, and the Toffees may pounce with Roma thought to be looking for around £20-25m.
Roma willing to sell Everton target Abraham
As a former Premier League player with 11 caps and three goals for England, Abraham is a known quantity in the league and could represent a coup for Everton.
Roma’s dwindling trust in the player is down to his recent injury record – Abraham played just 318 minutes of the 2023-24 season due to a cruciate ligament absence.
The towering former Chelsea striker has been deemed an ideal replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin should the fellow England man move on this summer after eight years – Newcastle United have been linked with a £25m move for the current Everton number nine.

Abraham can be a ready-made alternative for Dyche and any sign of his being surplus to requirements in Serie A may lead him to push for an exit from the Italian capital.
Amid interest from multiple top-flight clubs, Abraham may transpire to have his pick and could be expected to prefer a move to Champions League newcomers Aston Villa, with whom he spent the 2018-19 season on loan.
But Everton may be able to offer first-choice, long-term football to the Three Lions marksman to get him back in the England picture.
