Man United to face ‘real problems’ with Everton after Jarrad Branthwaite news – Kaveh Solhekol
Manchester United could face an issue once they begin negotiations with Everton over the price tag for Jarrad Branthwaite, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The 21-year-old has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, according to The Times (13 June), which could speed up a move.
Now negotiations will be held with the Toffees with them set to demand £70 million for their star defender this summer.
Speaking on Sky Sports News (14 June), Solhekol has suggested Manchester United could struggle in talks with Everton over the transfer fee.
He said: “I think the real problems are going to begin when Manchester United start to negotiate with Everton because I don’t think they will let him go without a fight.”
Everton to fight for Jarrad Branthwaite
The Toffees have a gem in Branthwaite and it would be truly gutting to lose him after one proper season as a regular starter.
Alongside James Tarkowski and with Jordan Pickford behind them, they have helped to form a solid defence which was the basis of everything good last season.
With Farhad Moshiri searching for a new owner, there is no doubt about the financial problems that the club are continuing to deal with.
This could see them forced into selling key players to deal with PSR concerns that the Premier League are going to be very strict with.

Branthwaite is possibly the easiest option for a sale this summer with the likes of Amadou Onana and Dominic Calvert-Lewin linked away.
It looks unlikely now but if Manchester United offer £70m then the Toffees may find it difficult to turn down but whether they will offer that much remains unclear.
In other Everton news, the club could appoint a big-name manager in one takeover scenario.
