Sean Dyche to be offered new Everton contract if Andy Bell and George Downing takeover

Bryan King believes Sean Dyche will be handed a new Everton contract if Andy Bell and George Downing complete a takeover at Goodison Park.

The ex-Goodison scout feels that Bell & Downing would be the best option for the Toffees among the multiple candidates interested in a takeover.

As reported by The Telegraph (13 June), the two local businessmen are in “serious contention.”

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – claims that could spell good news for Dyche.

“I think this would be the best option for the club,” King said.

“These are genuine Everton supporters and if they have got the money needed, it would be fantastic for them to take over at Goodison Park.

“They still need to pin down a manager for the next few years, and Dyche looks like he could be the best option.

“He has done well since coming in, keeping the club up under those circumstances. As a result, if Bell and Downing come in, I would imagine they will offer Dyche a new contract.”

Sean Dyche deserves to keep his job as Everton manager

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the club and as a result, Dyche will most likely be wondering what his future holds.

While it is unclear whether any new owners would keep hold of the manager, it is hard to argue that Dyche deserves to keep his job at Goodison Park.

Despite all the off-field struggles last season, the ex-Burnley boss was able to keep the Toffees in the Premier League.

He has done everything asked of him so far and therefore deserves the opportunity to demonstrate what he can do in a more settled environment.

In other Everton news, a takeover should be finalised by August as a timeline is mooted at Goodison Park.
