Everton transfer news as Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto medical claim emerges
Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto is unlikely to have any issues clearing his Everton medical, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that despite the lack of game time and ankle setback earlier in the season, the Italy international is at no glaring risk of facing issues with his medical.
This comes after Goal reported on 28 May that along with Jack Harrison, the Toffees may look to bring the 20-year-old to Goodison Park as well.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Gnonto:
“Gnonto had issues with his ankle and did not play regularly in the 2023/24 season so that’s something Everton will know before signing him.
“I highly doubt it will cause any issues with the medical it as medicals are typically looking for outlier issues or ones that may create medium and long-term risk that wasn’t anticipated.
“The moderate ankle issue nor the irregular game time wouldn’t seem to create that.“
Everton may consider signing Wilfried Gnonto at the right price
Gnonto is a talented young winger with the potential to develop into a top Premier League player and he’s already showcased his skills in the top flight.
His pace and versatility would add a new dimension to Everton’s attack.
The Toffees need to strengthen their squad after narrowly avoiding relegation last season and Gnonto would be a valuable addition to their forward line.

The Italy international has expressed a desire to leave Leeds United in the past and their failure to secure promotion could see him finally securing an exit.
